Delta Dental Is Upgrading!

Delta Dental of New Mexico is upgrading its claims processing system with several new, enhanced features over the weekend of April 1. These enhancements will make our claims system more flexible and more robust, which will give you access to more information.

Claims Processing and Eligibility Delays

  • Claims processing and payment remittance—including electronic funds transfer—will be suspended from 5 p.m. Mountain time on Monday, March 26 through Friday, April 6. The Dental Office Toolkit will be available for inquiry only during this time.
  • Eligibility changes will also be held between March 26 and April 6. You will be able to verify eligibility for your patients during this period through the Dental Office Toolkit or by calling us at (877) 395-9420. Customer Service Representatives are available to assist you Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Mountain time.

Dental Office Toolkit Enhancements

As part of our upgrades, the Dental Office Toolkit (DOT) will get an updated look and streamlined navigation. Features of the new Dental Office Toolkit include:

  • Real-time claims processing—Most claims entered in DOT will process instantly. You will be able to view and print an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) immediately, including anticipated Delta Dental payments and the patient’s copayment amount.
  • New Activity Log—DOT users will be able to access their submitted claims, paid claims, electronic funds transfer (EFT) transactions, predeterminations, and denied claims.
  • Personal updates—Registered users will be able to maintain and update their own profiles, including their EFT information.
  • Additional treatment lines—Dental Office Toolkit claims will hold more lines

As always, the Dental Office Toolkit will be highly secured, ensuring the safety and privacy of your data, and will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.


Easy EFT sign-up

With the new Dental Office Toolkit, you can set up and maintain your own electronic funds transfer (EFT) account. With this free service, payment can be in your bank or financial institution account within 48 hours.

EFT is safe and secure. It limits the amount of people with access to your account, and you don’t have to worry about payments being lost or stolen. Transfers are routed only through approved banking channels in highly-protected formats.
